I personally prefer the 30minute timeframe with the 1 hour as confirmation, as it is long enough for the trade to be fairly solid in it's direction,but still have room to move, and if it goes thwe wrong way and you have to exit, then the damage is normally minimal. There is more then meets the eye then a blanket statement like yours. Sometimes good trades go begging without an alert arrow going off,but I guess thats part and parcel of trading. No doubt with your skill you make that back real soon. Once a retracement is observed it then waits for a fractal set up. I always cash out far too early, and miss the big dollars.

I have had 20 pip and 30 pips losses using the imdicator minute timeframe, but I can live with that, and I often get pip plus trades on this timeframe too,as often those trades will break into the hour plus time period, before hitting the exit point,giving some nice elongated trades.

Another interesting thing here is that I often go to my LMT template on the same currency pair on a 1 hour and 4 hour timeframe, and compare alerts and they are very often the same or very close in proximity.

Glad you checked out the videos,and the Steinitz site. And for some people that could be quite dangerous as each trade alert is supposed to be confirmed by one or more measures,such as higher timeframe,and as I do, check out where the MA lines are-and breaokut they look to be going.

As soon as everything is in sync the Steinitz Fractal Breakout custom indicator gives you an arrow and a pop up alert with audio where to fraxtal the market. I have found this to be the simplest method and just trade the averages.
